Superior Credit Union Partners with the State of Ohio to Offer Homebuyer Plus Savings Accounts

Superior Credit Union is excited to partner with the Ohio Treasurer’s Office, offering Ohio Homebuyer Plus Savings Accounts.

LIMA, OHIO, UNITED STATES, March 27, 2024 /EINPresswire.com/ — Superior Credit Union is thrilled to announce its partnership with the State of Ohio Treasurer’s Office to offer its members Ohio Homebuyer Plus Savings Accounts. This initiative is designed to provide Ohio residents with specialized, tax-advantaged savings accounts with above-market interest rates, assisting them on their homebuying journey.

Superior Credit Union is proud to be one of only eight financial institutions in Ohio currently offering this new savings account. The credit union was honored to have the first approved application in the state for an Ohio Homebuyer Plus account.

To qualify for an Ohio Homebuyer Plus account, members must be Ohio residents at least 18 years old, use the money only for a down payment or closing costs on a primary residence in Ohio, use the money within five years of starting the account, and maintain a minimum balance of $100 and a maximum of $100,000.
